Tradelière islet is a very flat islet bristling with points of bleached rocks on its surface which rise to 9.8 feet (3 meters) above sea level. It stretches in length for about 590 feet (180 meters) just 492 feet (150 meters) from the eastern tip of Sainte-Marguerite island in the Lérins archipelago off the city of Cannes. It emerges from a vast 3.2 to 16.4 feet (1 to 5 meters) deep submarine plateau bordered by 32.8 to 65.6 feet (10 to 20 meters) drop offs.
