The frame of the Haut-Koenigsbourg mill tower is made of oak and fir. It serves as a support for a roof semi-circular outside the enclosure and straight to the courtyard side. The tower is also equipped with a four levels stacker and supports the mill and the weather vane. It was designed and built by local craftsmen during the 1900 renovation of the castle ordered by Kaiser Wilhelm II.
