The ice-covered Arctic tundra in the fog
1
0
The Arctic tundra, where the average temperature is -29°F in the wintertime and 37°F to 54°F in the summertime, supports a variety of animal species. The summer growing season is just 50 to 60 days when the sun shines 24 hours a day. Despite the extreme weather conditions, indigenous people as Inuits have settled in this region.
