To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Buerehiesel’s glass terrace, which was built by his uncle Guy Walter in 1989, chef Eric Westermann has given the place a makeover. Among the new features, an oiled oak flooring, painted woodwork, new tables made by the cabinetmaker Jean Ledermann, a “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” (Best Craftsman in France), based in Schiltigheim. Flooded with abundant light, the lush vegetation of the Orangery Park has made a green oasis out of the metal structure. The Alsatian company Barrisol, world leader in stretch ceilings, is behind a unique creation on the theme of the orangery, embellished with a few “aerial” Manta rays.
