The Bacchantes vase tactile table
0
0
Like flora and fauna, woman was one of René Lalique’s favourite themes, whether in jewellery or glassware. The master glassmaker created women-libells, Egyptians, Bacchantes, and mermaid-like pieces. Whether flower ladies or child ladies, they were usually depicted naked on jewellery, crystal vases, fountains or on Art Deco grills. In the Lalique Museum, a large tactile table is devoted to all the stages of production of the Bacchantes vase, created in 1927. From the mould to the finished vase, short videos explain each stage of the process.
