En 2004, dans le cadre des manifestations programmées pour le centenaire de la disparition d'Auguste Bartholdi, la municipalité choisit de faire installer, à l'entrée nord de la ville, une réplique de la statue de La Liberté. La statue de la Liberté colmarienne d’une hauteur de 12 mètres au flambeau, est réalisée en résine teintée dans la masse pour lui donner l’aspect du cuivre patiné.
