In winter, the cows of La Grange de la Haute Vallée remain in stabling, meaning that they are kept indoors in a closed and covered space. The traditional tie stalls practice confines the cows to defined locations. It allows them to get up to eat and lie down but not to move around freely. Their installation on the ground, the stable climate, as well as natural light play a significant role in the good health of the cattle.
