The prestigious Cocarde d'Or

The Camargue race is a traditional sport practiced in the arenas of Arles and several small nearby villages. The Cocarde d'Or is the most prestigious among the many races held in the region and constitutes the event all raseteurs dream of winning. The races take place from early April to late October and the Cocarde d'Or has been organized on the first Monday of July since July 2, 1928, in the arenas of Arles. As the flagship events of the bullfighting season, this race and the great concomitant festival are highlights of Arles and its region.
