The leading region for horse breeding
0
0
The horse is not the most bred animal in Normandy, which has more cows than inhabitants in the Manche and Orne departments. However, the animal occupies a special place in Norman society. The region is, actually, largely structured by the equine sector, whose annual turnover amounts to 1.3 billion euros. With some 117,000 horses and more than 12,300 births per year, Normandy is, by far, the leading French region for horse breeding.
