It is practiced on slopes secured by ski patrollers or on completely virgin slopes that ‘freeriders’ like to inaugurate with their tracks. Freeride skiing can be extreme and dangerous, as some adepts venture on very steep slopes and don’t hesitate to jump over rocky bars.
