The Vieux Salins of Hyères, in the Var department, are characterized by their irregular layout and bordered by a pine forest and a long sandy beach. Also called Pentagon beach, it stretches over 1.5 miles (2.5 km) east of the town of Hyères. It links the port of Pothuau in Les Salins to the beach of Pansard de la Londe in the locality of La Londe-les-Maures.
