The final stamping step

0
Stamping is the last stage of the manufacture of traditional Marseille soap. It can be done manually using box tree stamps or mechanically by placing the prints in a press or a tulip. The bar soap goes through two rollers that stamp it before cutting. As for cubes, they are tightened in molds that stamp their six faces when closing. The information provided by the stamping is variable and includes the soap's brand, its formula with 72% of vegetable oil, its weight, and, following the decree of 1812, the pentagon that mentions the place of production, the name of the soapper, and the oils used.
