The pearl of the Val de Saire
0
0
At the northeast of the Cotentin peninsula, Barfleur is called the pearl of the Val de Saire. Very close to its small port, the Anse de la Masse stretches out 656 ft (200 m) of beaches where the quality of the bathing waters has been controlled for more than ten years. The riparian zones are occupied by meadows and crops that respectively occupy nearly 21 and 78% of the territory. To the north of the beach is the SATMAR (Société Atlantique de Mariculture) hatchery dedicated to the birth and growth of oysters and clams.
