Everyday from a very young age, Nui Flores and Gaston go fishing in the vast lagoon of Raivavae which offers the island population its main food resource. Equipped with harpoon rifles and diving suits, they use an outrigger canoe to reach the coral reef. Raivavae is one of the last places where canoes are still made of painted and varnished aito boards sewn with coconut fiber string (nape), to circulate on the lagoon.
