The different stages of the Corsican vegetation combine floristic sectors of the Mediterranean region on one side with common points with the Euro-Siberian mountains on the other. The duality of the Corsican flora results from the juxtaposition of these sectors where pines laricio coexist with beech and fir forests at the mountainous stage.
