The enhancement of a former line

The Norman Switzerland railway line, which connects Caen to Flers by crossing the Orne on the Clécy viaduct, ceased its passenger and freight transport activity at the end of the 1970s. In the early 1990s, its operation for two years for tourist purposes enabled 40,000 passengers to enjoy the landscapes of Norman Switzerland. Since then, the association for the enhancement of the Caen-Flers line (ACF) set up to ensure the maintenance of the line has developed various activities there, such as the operation of cyclo-draisines (rail-bikes) or the presentation of old railway equipment.
