The choir of the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel is an architectural masterpiece. But nothing was won in advance. Before reaching such a completion, how many fires, collapses, reconstructions? From the beginning, the builders needed a lot of imagination to recover the slope of the rock by building 3 crypts: Great Pillars Crypt, the first one in the east to support the choir, and the two others to form the bases of the transept.
