El sifaca de Milne-Edwards (Propithecus edwardsi) es un primate estrepsirrino de la familia Indriidae. Es un lémur de gran tamaño, endémico de las selvas costeras orientales de Madagascar. Esta especie tiene una garra especial en el segundo dedo de la extremidad trasera, que se utiliza para el aseo. Tanto las extremidades delanteras como las traseras están equipadas con pulgares para agarrar mejor las ramas y los troncos de los árboles. Las almohadillas son rugosas, planas y anchas, lo que también mejora el agarre.
