The locksmith's house
0
0
Among Riquewihr's houses from the Middle Ages, the locksmith's is known as Maison Thalinger. Built in 1627, this angled house stands between the two fortified enclosures of the city. Its gable opens onto the main street. Three beams come out of the front wall, above the ground floor. They probably supported an awning that protected it from the rain. The locksmith was modest, and his house does not display ostentatious decorations.
