The gastronomy of Burgundy in the vat-room
The press room consists of four galleries of 98 feet on 32 feet around the small central courtyard. Four huge oak wood capstan presses are situated at each corner of the room. It is adorned with a monumental wooden vault ceiling, of complex architecture. This vat-room is used nowadays as a dining room. The vat-room of the Clos de Vougeot was built in 1477.
