The GHM foundry in Sommevoire (Haute-Marne), now specialised in lighting and urban furniture, continues to produce cast iron and bronze art as it did in the 19th century. In 1857, Antoine Durenne (1822-1895) bought the Sommevoire foundry. The company quickly became a leader in French art casting and collected awards at the World Fairs in Paris and Vienna.
