The north facade of the Villa

0
After collaborating in the decoration of the Café de Paris, Louis Majorelle asked a young architect, Henri Sauvage, to build him a house in Nancy. Baptized Villa Jika, from the initials of Jeanne Kretz, the wife of Majorelle, the villa was constructed between 1901 and 1902. Its north facade, consisting of three parts, is the main entrance to the interiors. The front door on the left is used for the service. In the center, large windows surmount the ivy staircase. On the right side of the facade is Louis Majorelle's studio.
