The making of Vilac's blue racing car

The manufacture of the emblematic blue racing car of the Vilac house follows an ancestral process. The body of the car is formed in the turning workshop. The wooden structures are then fixed to iron picks to be dipped in paint and lacquer. After the successive drying phases, it is possible to proceed with the various finishes of the bodywork and with the drilling for insertion of the ancillary parts. In this photo, the upper part of the car is drilled to insert the pilot's small helmeted head.
