In Corse-du-Sud, at the heart of the massif of L’Ospedale (900 m / 2,953 ft high), the Piscia di Ghjaddicu waterfall plummets from 60 m (197 ft) high. The « fir tree cascade » owes its name to the Laricio pines forest that surrounds it. It originates from the confluence of the Palavesani stream, which comes from the artificial lake of L’Ospedale, and the Petra Piana stream.
