The Domaine d’Esthine shop is full of little treasures all related to the Cotentin donkey and to Normandy. Amongst these, the organic soaps made from donkey’s milk in the Domaine's workshop are prominent. Brigitte Pieau, the owner, uses the traditional method of cold saponification. However, she is careful to leave enough natural fat in her soaps so as to maximise their emollient and moisturising properties. She uses only the donkey’s milk from her farm, because she has chosen to favour the quality of her products over quantity.
