The Chartreuse de la Verne loop
0
0
The Chartreuse de la Verne is located at an altitude of 1,394 ft (425 m) in the heart of the dense Maures forest. Among the many trails designed for hikers and mountain bikers in the Maures massif, two routes allow discovering the chestnut forest of Collobrières and walking to the Charterhouse. The Chartreuse de la Verne loop is an itinerary of around 6.2 mi (10 km) in public woodland, between the Verne reservoir and the monastery dedicated to Notre-Dame de Clémence. The path leads to the southwest tower of the ramparts that protect the monastery.
