The Yonne and Seine rivers
According to the rules of hydrography, it is the Yonne - pictured here near Joigny - which flows in Paris, and not the Seine, and it also flows into the Channel. At the confluence of the Seine and the Yonne, at Montereau-Fault-Yonne in Seine-et-Marne, the Yonne has a flow rate of 93 m3 / second compared to 80 m3 / second for the Seine. It is therefore the Seine which flows into the Yonne and not the other way around.
