The Carmignac Foundation is the work of a man, Édouard Carmignac, founder and president of one of the most important French asset management companies. For more than thirty years, Édouard Carmignac has collected some two hundred and fifty works of art from the 20th and 21st centuries in a priceless personal collection that he has shared with the public since the opening in 2018 of an unusual exhibition space on the island of Porquerolles. Since then, the Carmignac Foundation, surrounded by its Sculpture Garden, has housed permanent works and staged temporary exhibitions.
