The installations inspired by the Umbrella Sky Project have multiplied in recent years all over the world. The initial project was born in 2012 in Águeda in central Portugal and established the reputation of the city, now known worldwide for its hanging umbrellas. The original idea included several art installations spread throughout Águeda around a strong element: a sky of colorful umbrellas that seemed to float in the air. Since then, it has been declined ad infinitum, like in Castellar in the Alpes-Maritimes department.
