An oecus, i.e. a room in Roman houses equivalent to a living room, closes to the north the Maison au Buste en Argent (Silver Bust House) of the archaeological site of La Villasse in Vaison-la-Romaine. It is embellished with a cast of the statue of Domitian, the marble original of which is exhibited in the city's Théo Desplans archaeological museum. This huge house has a row of rooms, porticoes, and courtyards characteristic of the private architecture from the 2nd century and opens onto the Rue des Boutiques (Shops Street).
