The enthusiasm of neorural city dwellers

The hilltop village of Sainte-Agnès in the Alpes-Maritimes department extends 6.2 mi (10 km) away from the coastal town of Menton. It is accessible from the Mediterranean shores by car in about twenty minutes through the Borrigo valley. Distant of about 25 mi (40 km) from Nice airport by the motorway and close to the Italian border, Sainte-Agnès has become a popular place sought-after by neorural city dwellers. Their interest has recently driven real estate prices to soar in the medieval village.
