The mark of Eloi Monod

Eloi Monod, the creator of the Verrerie de Biot in 1956, remains one of the major figures in the history of the town of the Alpes-Maritimes department. He gave it a new breath and also held office as mayor from 1965 to 1971. Eloi Monod died in November 2007, long after the Lechaczynski family took up the glassworks and the torch of the bubbled glass tradition in 1973.
