The traditional emblem of the Orne department

Explicitly present on the Orne department's logo, which it surmounted with a silhouette for more than thirty years, the emblematic French trotter was replaced in December 2019. The new logo combines a blue arc symbolizing the sea with an incomplete green circle that represents the O of Orne and accompanies the whole with the words Le Département. This transformation of the graphic identity of the department aims to highlight a connected and preserved territory. As for the incomplete O of Orne, it would represent a horseshoe and would inscribe the new logo in the equine tradition of the region.
