The church Notre-Dame in Dole was a collegiate church until 1951 before becoming a basilica. Until the conquests of Louis XIV, it remained the church of the capital of the County of Burgundy with the wealth inherent in its status. Plundered during the Revolution, it was restored and refurnished between 1840 and 1919 and benefited from a complete renovation between 2006 and 2009, with the exception of the Holy-Chapel restored in 1991. Located in the heart of the historic center and near the river Doubs, it is today the main church in the town of Dole.
