The Avenue Verte Londres-Paris (292 miles / 470 km) is a gentle walking route that crosses the north of the Pays de Bray through the Larris Regional Nature Reserve and the peat bogs of Saint-Pierre-Es-Champs. In the heart of the Pays de Bray, Mont Sainte-Hélène brings together a wide variety of flora and fauna (lindens, orchids, and butterflies such as the Pearly blue Argus). The national forest of Lyons is the largest beech grove in Europe. It houses an unusual tree, in the shape of an elephant's head, in the so-called plane wing plot.
