The alcazar of Seville is a fortified palace (alcazar) built in Seville by the Umayyads of Spain and modified several times during and after the Muslim period. It is the most brilliant example of Mudejar architecture on the Iberian Peninsula. It has been a Mudejar architecture since 1987, as has the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria at the Headquarters (in the foreground) which has the largest area in the world
