An essential accessory of the raseteur
0
0
In Camargue racing, the iron hook used to remove the attributes attached to the bull has four branches 3 inches long (8 cm), each with four teeth curved inward. The objective of the raseteur is to gather the attributes without harming the animal. If the bull is injured, the raseteur signals it to the presidency, which orders the suspension of the race. The bull's manadier (guardian) then comes into the arena to assess the injury of his animal and decide whether it can continue the race or not.
