The Conservatory of Metallurgical Arts extends in a former 15th-century foundry in Dommartin-le-Franc. The museum aims to transmit and show the trade of artisan-founder. Its brick buildings shelter centuries of know-how and display numerous statues, machines, and tools. One of the rooms houses an immense blast furnace from 1834. The conservatory is also initiating training sessions destined for the younger generations to perpetuate a tradition dear to the Haute-Marne department.
