Jokin cliffs staircase

The Jokin cliffs, at the extreme north of Lifou Island, dominate the ocean about 130ft (40m) below. They were fitted with a concrete staircase with irregular steps. To access it, you have to walk along the fences of the large chiefdom behind the church and follow the path which descends on the right. At the end of the stairs, there is no beach but a narrow concrete water launch which allows you to enjoy beautiful snorkelling sessions.
