From birth, the baby baboon is carried by its mother continuously for several days. She first holds it in her arms, associating it with all her activities, and does not separate from it at any time. At the end of two weeks, the little one is carried on its mother’s back. It occasionally walks away from its mother to explore, but she does not loose sight of it and catches it from time to time by the arm or the leg.
