Jaguarundi, a curious small feline
The jaguarundi (Herpailurus yaguarondi), also called eyra, is a small wild feline difficult to find. It lives in the forests, plains, and swamps of Central and South America. The male can measure up to 70 cm and weigh up to 9 kg. Unlike other cats, its coat's color is uniform, it is not arboreal and it hunts during the day. It feeds on small mammals, birds, reptiles, and fruits.
