The islands and islets of the Var coast extend the Maures massif stratigraphically. They share the lands transformed by metamorphism of the neighboring coast, from the schists of the western part of the Maures through the mica schists and gneiss of its more eastern part to the granite of the northeast of the Maures coast near Cap Camarat off which this photo was taken.
