The greater flamingos (Phœnicopterus roseus) live as a community and always remain grouped in more or less important parties, even in their love life. They indulge irregularly in the beginnings of non-targeted mating behaviors that correspond to an overall ritual whose frequency and intensity increase in the spring, a few weeks before the start of nesting.
