An invitation to travel

On 31 August 1937, the French government created the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français (SNCF). Since then, the company has continued to develop the railway network in France and abroad. Passenger comfort has always been its priority, with the help of designers such as Ettore Bugatti, the sports car specialist. For the SNCF, the invitation to travel lies in the beauty of its trains, the respect of time schedules, and the comfort of its passengers. This Bugatti railcar, which was used on the Paris-Deauville line a few years before the Second World War, is the finest example.
