In the polar regions, contrasts sometimes disappear in a uniformly white glow. The low sky merges with the ice-covered ground, the haze blurs the landscape and the skyline disappears into an infinite white space. These typical conditions of whiteout form stunning landscapes without landmarks in which it becomes very easy to get lost. Inuit people live in this harsh environment.
