Inuit are an aboriginal people; they primarily inhabit the northern region of Canada. An Inuit person is known as an Inuk. In Canada, Inuktitut (Inuit language) has five main dialects: in Ulukhaktok, one of only two villages of Victoria Island, inhabitants speak mainly Inuinnaqtun and English.
