Inuit dog sleds
2
0
The Inuit traditionally use dog sleds to move on the fast ice. This economical and ecological mode of transportation allows collective travels of more than 62mi (100km). The sleds are built locally and the dogs are fed with hunting and fishing products. The fast ice, generally flat unlike the steep coast cut by glaciers, is the best terrain to use these dog sleds.
