Kate is 83 years old with her son Isaac and grandson, Roy. Inuit are traditionally nomadic communities, moving from one camp to another depending on the seasons and therefore food sources. Nowadays, they continue their hunting, fishing and gathering practices which remain their main resources but have become sedentary. On Victoria Island, they settled in two coastal villages, Ulukhaktok in the west coast and Ikaluktutiak in the east coast.
