Geological interpretation of the Sancy

At the top of the Puy de Sancy (6,187 feet / 1,886 metres), in addition to the orientation table, lies a geological interpretation table made of enamelled ceramic. It was designed by the geologist and volcanologist Pierre Lavina and explains through drawings and diagrams the establishment of the Sancy dome-flow and the prismation of magmatic rocks (in the form of volcanic organs) visible at its base.
