In Corsica, the Chestnut Gall Wasp attacks the chestnut tree and causes a significant drop in fruit production. For centuries, this providential tree feeds the islanders but also the « nustrale », the famous Corsican pig. To defend it, the Torymus sinensis is introduced: this insect eats the Chestnut Gall Wasp larvae, it is its only predator. A biological war is going on.
